Spiral Drive
With their debut album Unity (2019), SPIRAL DRIVE first garnered attention across Europe.
Since then, the passion project of German-Austrian multi-instrumentalist, producer, and singer Raphaël Neikes has evolved into one of the most exciting and promising acts in the neo-psychedelic scene. Their second album, Visions in Bloom (2022), spearheaded by the million-streamed single "Space Train," solidified this reputation. The album blends psychedelic rock, alternative, psych-pop, grunge, and indie into a dazzling whole—earning the band comparisons to artists such as Tame Impala, King Gizzard, Queens of the Stone Age, MGMT, and Pink Floyd, without confining themselves to a single genre.
Together with collaborators like Ben McLeod (All Them Witches) and Lord Fascinator (Children Collide), Neikes has unleashed creative impulses that resonate far beyond Central Europe, garnering a steadily growing fanbase in the UK, the US, and Australia. Another milestone was the 2024 cover of "Tomorrow Never Knows" (The Beatles), featuring original artwork by Klaus Voormann (The Beatles - Revolver), which also attracted attention outside the psych scene.
While current releases continue to garner international attention, Neikes is already working on two new studio albums: REISE is a Krautrock excursion, created during an intensive week-long studio session with Lord Fascinator. At the same time, Neikes is also working intensively on a follow-up to "Visions in Bloom," which is slated for release in the second half of 2026.
Following extensive tours across Europe and South Africa, as well as a celebrated Rockpalast live set, SPIRAL DRIVE kicked off their “Green Vanilla” headline tour in the first half of 2025 with 23 shows across seven countries, including their first-ever performance in the United Kingdom. Their show at London’s New Cross Inn in June marked their long-awaited UK debut and fulfilled the hopes of their ever-growing British fanbase.
With their UK debut, SPIRAL DRIVE underscore their international ambitions. This milestone not only confirms the band’s enduring appeal but also sets their sights far beyond Europe, towards North America and Australia.
With new music on the horizon and a reputation for immersive, genre-bending live shows, the band’s next chapter promises to be even bolder, more vibrant, and above all, louder.
Kalkyl
When everything looks bright, even though it's raining, you've probably landed at a KALK¥L concert.
The Mannheim-based band makes psychedelic indie soul with a warm analog sound, fuzzy guitars, multi-layered vocals, and a touch of melancholy that always also carries a glimmer of hope.
KALK¥L was founded in 2020 by Tom Woschitz and Phil Sodemann. Both work with a songwriting-based approach, focusing on emotional clarity, texture, and atmosphere.
They produce their music together, in close collaboration with Michael Nowatzky (The Kii, among others). The songs are
clearly structured and catchy—yet there's still room for unexpected twists, detours, and intuition. Live, the project expands with the band into an open, vibrant sonic entity. At select shows, Tom and Phil also present KALK¥L in its original form—with a 12-string acoustic guitar, melodica, and plenty of overflowing energy.
In 2022, the first EP, Lazy Sunday Tapes, was released – written, recorded, and produced in the living room. The lo-fi-drenched tracks laid the foundation for their current sound: soulful, raw, and direct. The release was featured as “New & Notable” on Bandcamp and received airplay on FluxFM and Deutschlandfunk Nova.
In 2024, the collaborative EP Only Way To Catch Me with French artist Laventure spent six weeks in the FM4 charts. This was followed by placements in Spotify Fresh Finds GSA and Apple Music editorials, as well as live performances, including on RadioEins. After international shows in 2023/24 – including in France, Belgium, and Austria –
KALK¥L will be supporting Steaming Satellites in 2025 and celebrating a show highlight at the Maifeld Derby.
The new EP Outrunning Raindrops will be released from November 2025 – produced by Michael
Nowatzky, mastered by Zino Mikorey (Parcels, Alice Phoebe Lou), with a feature from the Psych-Rock band Spiral Drive.
Modula Nation
Modula Nation is a distinctive fusion of experimental-psychedelic-rock, space-pop and alternative-rock combined with heavy industrial riffs, complex rhythms and tight grooves. The Group was formed in Graz and is one of the most promising rock bands of the Austrian underground scene.
The progressive rock quartet from Graz delivers pulsating space rock odysseys that take their audience on a psychedelic journey into various musical worlds.
Modula Nation has had the honour to share the stage with legendary artists such as: Molotov, Tito & Tarantula, Mother's Cake, KMFDM and Skinny Puppy among others.
Formed in 2008, the project sprouted out of previous musical combos of singer, multi-instrumentalist Heinz Wallner and fellow bassist and long time collaborator Ricardo Paz. Their friendship and love for a wide range of musical genres combined with brainstorming all night jam sessions aided to develop the bands individual musical sound.
Further band members who complete Modula Nation's musical vision are Philipp Pluhar on drums and electronics as well as Markus Steinrück on guitars.
Modula Nation's Live EP – Shred is out now! The band is currently producing their long awaited debut album titled THE RIFT. The album will be released in early 2026. Read below for more details on the upcoming album.
