Dempsey Bolton is an award-winning alternative pop artist and producer based in Calgary, Canada. Coming off winning back-to-back YYC Music Awards for Pop Single of the Year and landing his debut album in the Top 200 NACC Charts for 5 weeks, Dempsey is continuing this momentum with a performance on the Calgary Stampede’s Coca Cola Stage, a 5-date Western Canadian Tour, a Showcase at German International Festival “Reeperbahn” and his third album release, “IN THE PRESENCE OF GIANTS”. The focus track “GIANTS” has received significant airplay from radio, including landing in rotation at Sirius XM’s “The Verge”.
Originally a classically trained violinist, Dempsey spent his formative years immersed in music. Faced with the decision of pursuing a Masters degree in Astrophysics or becoming a disappointment to his parents, he opted to become a full time artist and music producer (the latter). He likes sunflowers and wrote this bio without the help of AI (and it shows). Dempsey is currently working on his 4th studio album and continues to hunt for inspiration in his daily life.
