Formed in 2010 on top of a dirty fried chicken shop on Holloway Road, MFC Chicken play raw, sax-fuelled rock and roll tunes about fast food and broken hearts.
When tenor sax player Spencer Evoy arrived in London fresh from Canada, little did he know that his quest to reignite the spirit of the rock'n'roll sound of the American Pacific Northwest would start outside a chicken shop on the Holloway Road. Since those early days, this poultry-power rock and roll group have released 4 award winning LPs and a fistfull of instantly collectable singles on Dirty Water Records (UK) and FOLC Records (Spain).
The current line up of the band - Spencer Evoy (Sax/Lead Vox), Ravi Low-Beer (Drums), Zig Criscuolo (Bass/Vox) & Dan Criscuolo (Guitar/Vox) - have set the UK and Europe alight with 100’s of live shows presenting their own red hot take on "the music the Sonics & The Wailers were listening to", cementing this globe-spanning gang into the finest purveyors of Pacific Northwest rhythm and blues in the land.
2020 saw the 10th anniversary of the band and the release of their newest slab of vinyl presenting 14 brand new slabs of rock and roll, frat rock and rhythm and blues. Highlights include “KFC Called The Cops On Me”, “I Couldn’t Say No” and “Always Always Always”.
Despite the pandemic the band were one of the few bands who managed to play shows in 2020 and in 2021 have just returned from a massively successful 3 weeks in Spain playing the first post=pandemic shows for many thousands of people across the country. In 2022 they kept the pace up with shows and tours in the USA, Portugal, France, Italy, mainland Spain and the Canary Islands.
If you love dancing but hate contemporary music… if you are desperate to hear rock'n'roll taken back to its roots… if you are hungry for the greasiest item on the rhythm and blues dance menu , then you are most definitely ready for the indescribable, unstoppable sound of MFC Chicken - the best in the land!

This non stop, rock’and’roll grind-a-go go machine was formed in London in late 2014. The band features the high energy rock and roll twang of guitar player Dani Martini; the sleazy tenor sax-tones of Spencer “The Colonel” Evoy; the thunderous jungle rhythms of Toby “Two Beers” Ungless and the low down tones of the boss of the bass, Mr Frankie Fuzilli Sr.
Mixing up a sleazy atomic age r’n’r cocktail blending Link Wray and the craziest Las Vegas Grind tunes with a large shot of Grady Gaines' Upsetters, a dash of The Fabulous Wailers, a slice of Nick Curran and a sprinkling of Chuck Berry, they always deliver amazing live performances.
Multiple International tours include shows at the Festival del Valle di Tobalina (with Mambo Jambo and The Limboos), headlining The 10th Anniversary Rock and Roll Circus in Amsterdam, Weirdsville (with Big Boss Man and King Salami), What’s Cookin’, Bule Bule Toga Fest (with Les Grys Grys and Dr Explosion), The New Barcelona Hayride and Funtastic Dracula Carnival, Benidorm (with Guitar Wolf and The Mummies), Sjock (with The Mummies and The Dead Kennedys), Hipsville (UK), Surforama (Spain), Voodoo Festival (Italy), Montesquiou On The Rocks (France), The Rockabilly Rave (UK), Azkena Rock Festival (Spain), The Cosmic Trip (France) and Viva Las Vegas (USA).
In 2016 they released their debut single “Mogul Monster” 7” vinyl through FOLC Records. 2017 saw the release of their first LP "Grind A Go Go, Volume 1" (FOLC Records and Dirty Water Records). In 2019 saw the arrival of crowd favourite “Dos Chopitos” 7” on Young and Wild Records. More recently, 2023 saw the release of “She Can Rock” 7” on Sleazy Records, “Pizza Sure Is Good” 7” as well as their 2nd LP "Grind A Go Go, Volume 2" on FOLC Records. The Fuzillis... One word instr-o-mental grind-a-go go party monsters who’ll make you twist till your toes bleed.
Ungawa baby... UNGAWA!
